Yesenia Jameson was raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in Southern California and became fully indoctrinated around age 12. She was baptized at 14 and served as a pioneer from age 16-18. A series of events led to her slow and eventual awakening, including creepy elders, a loss of a loved one whose family refused a blood transfusion to save her life, doctrines that made no sense upon further examination and eventually pursuing higher education.
Today, Yesenia lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her two cats, Sherbert and Momma. She's a yoga instructor, a tarot reader, and loves exploring topics in spirituality and therapy. Professionally she's a copywriter/content creator for a local nonprofit that advocates for affordable housing legislation.
